Well Farmers............The Corr Chili Cook-Off was a fine event and it just went to prove the temperature sometimes exceeds the "ass in the tub" heat of the chili. It should be noted that your talented dobroistic stylist, Fred Smoral, was deemed by a fair panel of judges the winner in not one but TWO categories...regular and HOT, HOT, HOT. Hey Marty, time to market that good stuff.........Smarty Moral's Chili for the Regularity Impaired. An elixir for the intestines and TASTY to boot. Oh, and by the way, the combination of the City Farm and the Orchard Boys..........the Orchard City Farm Boys.........was truly an excellent vibe. Keep up that fine bluegrass tuneage........Peace on out to you all.

Howdy Farmers......Looks like the guest log has been pretty quiet since the beginning of 2008. Not much in the world of City Farm blogging, huh? Oh the stories we could tell. Or not. Here's to a sprang fulla blackberry blossoms and wishing you dexterity when you strang on yer instruments. See you at the Tiff when the dogwoods and cherry blossoms open up and folks commence tuh dancing on the fretboards. May your spring be full of low pollen counts.......AHHHHHHH......CHEWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

HAPPY NEW YEAR FARMERS!!! PICK IT HOT @ THE TIFF THIS FRIDAY! JBU

The City Farm sounded excellent at the Crozet Music Festival on a clear, sunny day at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Very professional delivery of the musical goods and a nice contingent of Farmhands to soak in the sounds. I understand there was a fine combo of Chinese food, BUBBA and the UVA-MD game on TV at the afterparty at a nearby resident's house. Keep on Farmin'............

The only thing better than listening to City Farm is doing so while eating Oysters! Great performance last Saturday. Good luck in Crozet. Your #1 Fan

15 Jun 2007 at 23:27:38

Hey City Farm! You all are great! I finally found your website! This is Nicole, I've see you all play at Tiffany's Tavern with Christine(Marcus's daughter) a couple of times and then once with just my boyfriend Greg and we had so much fun listening to your music and the atmosphere you all bring to Tiffany's Tavern! Greg, Christine, and I will be together and seeing you all there in July. Can't wait! =)

06 Jun 2007 at 10:22:26

You guys have tightened your sound to awesome levels. Your crowd-pleasing abilities increase with each gig and word is gettin' around that the City Farm is where it's at. As long as you continue to put the "ass" back in "bluegrass" the City Farm will ride the "G" strings to acoustic fame. Oooooo, sounds kinky (which reminds me, can y'all play "Superfreak"?).

18 May 2007 at 11:21:36

Hey y'all. This is a great site and I love the red type. Coming up there in July to finally experience the City Farm and I can't wait. You all look great! Rangeley

13 Mar 2007 at 20:35:49

I think the red type rocks.

13 Mar 2007 at 14:32:04

What a great performance on March 10, 2007 at Tiffany Tavern. We were all so impressed an energized! I would suggest that you get rid of the red type on your web site as it is difficult to read. Black type is always the best. The overall web site is great and has all the right elements. We love you guys!!! Carol Musgrave Kennedy and Lynn Musgrave

Howdy Farmers..........Here's a fan's suggestion. Check out Peter Rowan's version of Bob Marley's legendary classic "No Woman No Cry" from his Crucial Country LIVE @ Telluride CD (Paradise Parrish has a copy). Please learn that excellent tune and feature Ed "Farm" Corr on lead vocals. Lively up yo'self and add some reggae spice to your set list. Your legion of fans will be jammin' with delight, mon.

Buh-weiser, Baptist Church, Dragonette fuh vittles and Turtle Wax......the staples of life, brutha. Stiv

21 Feb 2007 at 15:40:37

You all look like a bunch of hoods....shave your faces, drink some beer instead of all them drugs ya'll probably do... and act like real Danvillians-----go to church regular, and wash your cars on Sunday..See ya at the Dragonette sometime.. stiv bators

15 Feb 2007 at 16:10:13

Hi y'all, please get a gig when I am back in Virginia, April 1--10. I really really want to hear you! xo from your fellow Danvillian, Bev Talbott

13 Feb 2007 at 21:54:46

City Haynes, Farm Corr, Country Smo', Urban Paul, Holly Parton and Paradise Parrish.....you all rock the acoustic world. Build the base and keep on pickin'......yer a festival away from greatness!

09 Feb 2007 at 20:16:22

The City Farm presents a hipness factor that crosses the generations. You folks have attracted a melting pot of fans who simply get along and have a good time. No pretenses, just friendliness and a positive outlook on humanity. Pick it solid and keep the vibe going, dudes!

01 Feb 2007 at 12:15:24

Well, I never!!What a handsome group of "young" men!! I feel like I'm back at GWHS looking at you youngsters. I must make a trip to DC and see my ole friends. Let's make a "bee-ah" date...Great name for a band. I'm sooo proud of you fellows. Lots of love, leah

31 Jan 2007 at 10:42:49

Hello there guys! What a nice surprise to see some old friends still having fun! I would love to hear you play sometime. Paul you have not changed one bit. I would recognize you anywhere. In fact I thought I saw you at the Stones concert in C'ville.Take care now. Martha Martin Crider

30 Jan 2007 at 06:18:52

Great website! Donny, where's YOUR bio???? Thanks for the mention, Boo-boo Holly. I may have given you "harmony lessons" (an overstatement if there ever was one) but your voice is God-given. Around you, the river is ALWAYS up - and so is laughter!

17 Jan 2007 at 11:31:32

You guys are lightin' up the Tiffany Tavern. Great crowds. I've noticed regulars who make the drive from Fredericksburg for each gig and the young folks are gettin' into the music bigtime! You seem to attract some loyal Danvillians as well. I am sure TT owner Ted loves it and the City Farm bluegrass nights are quickly becoming a destination on the DC music scene. Keep up the good work and, as always, may the circle be unbroken!

14 Oct 2006 at 09:43:07

You can't play in Texas if you ain't got no tambourine in the band. From the looks of your beautiful band picture it appears that you guys can play in Texas.

06 Sep 2006 at 15:42:58

Hey, Brad here from The West End. We love you guys! Be our friend on MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/thewestendmd Cheers.
